Congrats to our champ Curious, as week 10 is completely turned upside down!
What ended up being the most wild week in the standings, the final weekend had anyone with cash having a chance to crack the top 3! Three poolies actually only made money this week! But it’s only fitting that the first Champ of the UBHP reborn edition, is the creator of this pool – Curious, claiming the title with another go big or go bust bet ($219k) on his most hated team, the Rangers, to cover +2.5. Add another 20k bonus to boot for the most correct for the week and Curious profits $239,400 for the final week. Congrats!
What happened to 2nd and 3rd place McScoot and Fatbastahd? Obliterated! Both with all or nothing bets that that sunk them right out of the money and almost in the fish tank. The Rocket with another good week, takes advantage of many of the hard falls for the week and profits 50k jumping from 9th to finish in 2nd place. And rounding off the top 3, Magic Mike finishes in 3rd place despite losing 70k for the week and also had 4 poolies within 11k of 3rd place.
dgallow2 who forgot his picks for week 10, automatically lost a 1/3 of his total, climbed from 11th to 4th, less than 3k out of the money. UnderDawg also couldn’t capitalize on the massive losing weeks by many poolies and stayed in 5th place after losing 93k. BigSeb11 was in and around the top 3 spots for most of the pool and within striking distance of the top 3 for the last week. But two massive losing bets on Sunday’s games (Senators and Ducks) dropped him not only out of the money, but officially in the fish tank! Kuulchic with an amazing first week, but slowly dropped to the bottom of the standings for most of the pool, till you guessed it, week 10 – with a tiny $8,200 profit, climbed to 8th place putting many of our hockey experts to shame!
